The Art in the City Conference is intended to inspire a vibrant dialogue – and ensuing action – about the opportunity for arts and culture to make beautiful and meaningful places, provide a significant economic stimulus, and enrich our civic life. The CollectorConnect feature integrated into the Art in the City conference website will encourage and enable participants to:

1) Identify and connect with other attendees with similar interests
2) Post questions / engage in a dialogue with attendees, presenters, and respondents
3) Follow-up on the post conference implementation steps

The additional benefit of this technology is to capture and build upon the ideas and strategies developed in this forum and to share them with communities across the US.

2010 Session Outline Topics

ART IN THE CITY is a one-day conference focused on determining how the most transformative arts and culture initiatives nationwide can be implemented in San Diego. The program will be moderated by David Malmuth, a noted arts and entertainment developer who is responsible for the rebirth of The New Amsterdam Theater in NYC and the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.
